1987 AMC Jeep Comanche 4x4
4.0L
5 spd(Peugot)
NP231 Transfer Case
D30 Front D35 Rear
Faded Silver exterior (needs paint) with Red Bench Interior.
Very minimal rust - the only rust is the obvious chunk by the drivers tail light. Rockers, wheel arches, and floorpans are all solid.
Frame mounted Receiver Hitch and Heavy Duty Step Bumper.

New Items installed since I've owned it:

New windshield, complete exhaust (including cat), Cap, Rotor, Plugs, Wires, Rear UJoints, and CD Player in December '03
Water Pump, Thermostat, Hoses, Battery in Nov '04
Have O2 Sensor, but haven't installed it yet gets 20mpg on the highway currently.
Full Gauge cluster with tach - still have old

Supposed to have been replaced by the PO:

New Clutch, Pressure Plate, and Slave Cylinder.
Front U-Joints
Alternator

Minor Faults:

Hole rusted through the fender near drivers side tail light. It look like something caused all the paint to fail in that area. It's a fairly flat area and should be easy to weld in new metal.
Dent under drivers rear tail light, corner of drivers front bumper, and passenger side of the bed front rocker panel where it looks like someone backed over a stump.

Peugot Tranny - it works, it's quiet, and shifts smoothly but it's not an AX-15.

Negotiable Items:

Have an extra set of 5 Star Alloys available for $100.
Currently has front towbar mounted on it, but if you don't want it I'll take $100 less than asking price.
My buddy has an Aluminum Shell for $200
'90 XJ 4.0L AW4 Parts Rig (with Title)also available and could make a package deal for both. Has power everything, AC, and actually runs.

Why am I selling??

It's been a great truck and the only reason I'm selling is I bought an '89 Longbed with AC. I planned to repaint it and swap the AC, Buckets, and other goodies from the '90 XJ over to the '87 last summer to make a loaded daily driver. Then instead we moved last summer and I didn't have the time and ran across a nice longbed. The previous owner towed it behind his RV for a few years and the mileage showing and what was driven aren't the same. It pulls really strong for something with over 150K showing and uses no oil between changes. I drove it quite a bit last summer moving but haven't much since last fall. I probably put less than 10K on it total.

It's a little rough around the edges, but would make someone an EXCELLENT resto candidate or mild wheeler. I think it's in too nice of condition to hack up and tube out since there is so little rust.

Contact me if interested. The truck is located in Stanton, MO and available for viewing evenings and weekends.
